SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Journal Submission Guidelines

The Rivers State University Journal of Private and Property Law (JPPL) welcomes the submission of high-quality, original manuscripts that contribute meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge in private and property law and related disciplines. Our submission guidelines are designed to ensure a smooth, transparent, and efficient publication process for all authors. Prospective contributors are encouraged to carefully review these guidelines before submitting their manuscripts to ensure compliance with the journal’s standards and requirements.

Submission Guidelines

Contributors should keep the following guidelines in mind.

  1. All papers must be original and should NOT have been submitted
    elsewhere for publication.
  2. Papers submitted for publication must be in English language, typed,
    double-spaced on an A4 size paper using Microsoft Office Word, Times New Roman Style and in font 12.
  3. Footnotes should also be in Times NewRoman 10 font size and must be placed seriatim at the bottom of each page. Endnotes are not permitted.
  4. Papers should not be more than 5,000 words and must conform to the NALT standard referencing styles of legal research. Case reviews should not exceed 12 pages.
  5. Papers submitted must have a cover page containing names, titles, institutional affiliations, qualifications, email addresses and phone numbers of the authors.
  6. Papers must contain an abstract not exceeding 250 words, an introduction and a conclusion. 7) Papers submitted for publication will be sent out for blind review/assessment and feedbacks
    will thereafter be communicated to contributors as may be appropriate.
  7. Papers submitted for publication should be sent via email as a MS Word attachment to the following email addresses: charlesagwor@gmail.com and omubo-pepple.samuel@ust.edu.ng.
  8. Deadline for receipt of papers: 30th August, 2023
